John Patrick McCaffrey, Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute (FCSI), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Certified Construction Specifier (CCS), Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), is a self-employed Architect writing specifications for other architects. Mr. McCaffrey is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, 1967, and has a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. He has over 45 years of experience in building documentation, having worked at Miller Waltz Diedrich, Milwaukee, WI and Ft Lauderdale, FL; CRS Sirrine, Houston, TX, where he was an Associate of, what was then, the largest architectural firm in the United States; Stone, Marraccini & Patterson, San Francisco, CA, and Esherick Homsey Dodge and Davis, San Francisco, CA. He has had the pleasure of working with two AIA Gold Medalists, Bill Caudill and Joe Esherick. Mr. McCaffrey is a Past Secretary of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and was on the CSI BoD.
